I’m a digital media professional and current web producer at WCNC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina.
A proud Ohio University graduate, I studied journalism and business and now work on the NBC affiliate’s digital staff as we expand our website, mobile outlets and social media platforms.
Along with day-to-day site content management, I’ve taken on several projects for the station. Those duties include training co-workers how to edit our website and use social media and becoming the point person for our 2012 Democratic National Convention page.
During the fall of 2011 I helped boost WCNC’s high school sports coverage. I did that by growing the NewsChannel 36 High School Facebook page 300%, creating a WCNChs Twitter account, popularizing our interactive sections and adding original content to the website. The results were enormous page view growth and a stronger brand for WCNC in the Charlotte market.
I’m passionate about new media, sports, business and pets. I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and I’m proud of it.
