4-21 News and Notes

-  Congrats to Matt Barnes, who is moving from WRDW-TV in August, Georgia to become the weekend sports anchor/reporter at the NBC affiliate in Columbus.  Barnes is a ’07 graduate of Ohio University and has been featured prominently with Ohio’s advertising campaign.

-  Ohio junior Allie LaForce will be next year’s host of Bobcat Blitz, a weekly show covering Ohio football.

-  The Ohio hoops team will be recognized at the Ohio state capitol on May 11.

-  Ohio University will be extremely busy on Saturday.  Along with the football spring game at 2 p.m., softball hosts Buffalo at 2 p.m. and baseball takes on Bowling Green at 3 p.m.

-  In case you missed my tweet a few days ago, a new shirt that helps support the Dan Lowe Memorial Scholarship fund is now available.  Click here to see it.

-  Expect a lot of news to come out of John Groce’s post-season press conference Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m.
