- Sixth year head coach Doug Martin lost just 13 players from last season’s 4-8 team. Martin has yet to record a winning seasons during his first half-decade. His contract runs through 2010, but will he? His boss, A.D. Laing Kennedy gave Martin a bit of a vote of confidence to Carducci in late July. “Bottom line, this is a team that can win and a coach that can win,” Kennedy said. Continue reading »

- Three new coaches join J.D. Brookhardt’s program for his sixth season, highlighted by new offensive coordinator and former Miami (OH) head coach Shane Montgomery. New quarterbacks coach Walt Harris, who had head coaching tenures at Stanford and Pittsburgh, is on the staff, too. Their additions will take a bit off the heavy back of Brookhardt.
