-  Ohio University senior Steve Gartner, who covered the Bobcat football and basketball beat last year for The Post, has now moved to the Parkersburg News and Sentinel and will serve on that paper’s Bobcat beat this year.  This is great news for ‘Cats fans in West Virginia and for the athletic department.  A.D. Jim Schaus has been made it a priority to attempt to extend the circle of Green and White fans beyond Athens County.  Gartner is currently interning with MLB.com in Cincinnati. Continue reading »

-  Ohio University President Roderick McDavis was on “The Partyline” on 970 WATH-AM Thursday morning with hosts Dave Palmer and Ray Wagner.  The first 15 minutes were spent talking athletics, in particular the new money allocated to the department in the 2010 fiscal year.  It’s definitely worth a listen.
